Mark Griffin graduated from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in 1997. He worked as a freelance illustrator and also created his own comics: The Kersaders about kid superheroes, and his unfinished personal work, Karma Shmarma, documenting his battle with cancer. He passed away on June 2, 2008 from complications of his treatment for cancer.
